Yes, every Solva sauna has a built-in passive air vent that keeps fresh air moving throughout your session, along with temperature sensors that hold the heat steady and consistent. If you'd like a little more airflow, you can crack the door slightly between rounds or sessions.

Your Solva sauna heats up to around 150°F. That might sound lower than a traditional dry sauna, but here's the thing, infrared warms your body directly rather than just heating the air around you. So a 130–150°F infrared session actually feels just as intense as a much hotter traditional sauna, sometimes more, while staying far more comfortable to sit in and breathe.

Your Solva sauna is built from 100% solid Canadian Hemlock, real, natural wood with no plywood, MDF, varnish, stain, or chemical coatings anywhere inside. The cabin has an all-black exterior finish and an 8 mm tempered glass front door, and every material is chosen to be low-VOC and safe to breathe while you're inside.

New to infrared? No rush. Everyone eases in differently, so start gentle around 10–15 minutes and let your sessions grow to 20–30 as your body gets used to the heat.

The golden rule is simple: listen to yourself. If you ever feel light-headed, too warm, or just off, step out — there's no prize for toughing it out. And keep a glass of water with you, before and after. That's it.

Not hard at all most people have it together in about an hour. Your Solva sauna arrives in a few boxes as modular, pre-made panels that simply lock into place, and every electrical connection is a straightforward plug-in cable.

All you'll need is a screwdriver no special tools, and no electrician required. Just connect the panels, plug it into the outlet specified in your manual, and you're ready for your first session.

Very low, it's something we took seriously in the design. Every carbon heating panel in your Solva sauna, right down to the foot panel with its tourmaline stones, is engineered to be ultra-low EMF. In our measurements, that comes out to under 2 mG about two inches from the heater surface, and under 1 mG where you actually sit well below many standard infrared panels.

It does. Every Solva sauna has a red light therapy panel built right into the ceiling, combining 660nm red light and 850nm near-infrared in one. Because it's fully integrated, you get red light and infrared heat together in a single session — no separate devices, no extra cables, nothing to set up. Just step in, and it's already working alongside the heat.

Faster than most infrared saunas, thanks to our full-spectrum technology. Starting from a normal room temperature (around 20°C / 68°F), you'll hit that first ready-to-sweat warmth in about 10 minutes, and reach a full 60–65°C (140–150°F) in roughly 20 minutes.

Warm-up can vary a little with your room temperature and airflow, so most people just switch it on a few minutes before stepping in — that gives the quartz and infrared panels time to build a steady, even heat, so it's dialed in exactly how you like it when you're ready.

Solva saunas are designed for indoor use in a dry, protected space. A garage or a sheltered, enclosed patio can work too — as long as it stays fully dry, shielded from rain and weather, and above 10°C (50°F) at all times. Since the cabin isn't insulated for the outdoors, it'll struggle to reach proper heat in colder conditions. Just set it on a flat, stable surface, keep it protected from the elements, and follow the placement guidance in your manual, and you're good to go.
